There is money to be made from these two sectors of Grasscutter farming. As a business man, one of your major aims for being in business is to make profits. Focusing on the goose that lays the golden egg is key to the sustainability of your business especially this 2016 that virtually all the news that filters into our eyes and eyes are the gloom and doom that Nigeria is going to witness as the year unfolds.
A lot of Nigerians will be diversifying their sources of income because of how the economy is positioned NOW. When the over 14,000 Nigerians SEEKING to start a Portable Grasscutter Farming business are ready to start will you be there to supply them with breeding stock?
These breeders buy 1,2,3,10,20,30 colonies. Some call me from the southern part requesting for 50 to 60 colonies. Yesterday I received a call from a potential customer from Akwa Ibom State. This young man who is based in the States told me he had watched my video on Youtube and he watched it at the right time. According to him, he was presently in talks with some investors to invest N50,000,000 in Grasscutter Farming business. He was developing a Blueprint which will include planting the various Grasses they eat so that they will have food to eat even during the dry season when grasses like Elephant Grass will be in short supply.
He intends a yearly production of 800 colonies.
Let me show you a little calculation based on his intentions…
Assuming after production he decides to sell his colonies to breeders at N67,500 (i just learnt that one of my friend sells his colonies for N75,000, i will be increasing my price soon), here is what he will make if he sells of the 800 colonies in a year—> N67,500 x 800 colonies= N54,000,000.
This is one of the beautiful amounts you can realize selling to breeders. Now, the sector for Edible Grasscutters is just as beautiful as her sister the breeding sector.
1kg of Grasscutter (Live weight) is sold for N2,500,
if you have a Male Grasscutter that weighs 5kg, that means 5kg x N2,500 this will be equal to N12,500. So if assuming you produce 4,000 Male Grasscutters in a year and you get them to weigh 5kg, that will give you N50,000,000.
So you see, there is money in the both sectors of Grasscutter farming. A lot of Nigerians are starting Grasscutter farming this year, all you need to do is to supply them the breeding stock that they will need to start and make your money and the joy that comes with helping others achieve their goals. A lot will be eating bushmeat this year as usual, produce and sell to them directly, or sell to restaurants where they go to eat it.
You get to decide how it happens. So my dear, go for it because the only limitation you have in this life is the one you setup in your mind by yourself.
